Slow down
Life is all about balance, slowing the pace allows you opportunity to discover it
“Driving through them, most places look about the same as most others. Walking around is how you get the sense of a place’s character. Walking keeps you slow enough to notice the little things.”
Michael G. Williams

How many times this year have you said that you are too busy to slow down and miss an opportunity to care for yourself?
How many times this year have you said that you are too busy to slow down and miss an opportunity to care for yourself? or that there are so many things to do, you just do not have the time to sit down and think? Whilst we are constantly running from one thing to another, we minimise the chance for our minds to get creative. Without this time, it is almost impossible for us to realign with who we are and what means the most to us.
According to a study mentioned in Forbes magazine, handwriting increases the neural activity in certain sections of the brain which increases the type of creativity we are to tap into.
As the year is coming to a close, it often brings a panic for some people who haven’t achieved what they set out to at the beginning of the year. All of a sudden there is an increased sense of urgency to get everything done because the time is ticking. In times like these, consider being present for the moment and make a choice to enjoy the journey to your goals by walking instead of running.
Press pause on your overactive mind, focus and take some time to elevate and recalibrate your path to becoming the best version of yourself.
Things you can do to pause & recalibrate
- Write a personal mission statement
- Write a gratitude journal
- Write down the top 10 principles you want to centre your life around
- Write a no limitation, Be, Do and Have list
- Write your goals for the rest of the year – make them ‘SMART’
- Write down your favourite recipes
- Write a poem
- Write a journal entry about the 1st thing to come to your mind
The next vision board workshop is January 8th 2023. If you are not pleased with where you are now, don’t let next year come and meet you here again.
If you would like any support or guidance on completing any of the above, head over to the contact page and let me know how you are getting on.
