Through self-awareness and inner work, we unlock the power to rebuild, grow, and thrive

Jannelle Johnson

I’m a expert trauma therapist and personal performance coach based in London, working worldwide. What began as a deep curiosity about emotion and human behaviour has become practical, culturally-sensitive and impactful trauma care. I support adults to process trauma, reduce stress & anxiety, work through depression and rebuild self-trust using evidence-based therapeutic and coaching practices —online and in person.

About my work…

My years in NHS Talking Therapies and mental-health charities taught me that healing is multi-layered. Real change happens when we work with the mind, body, and lived experience—not just thoughts.

I offer integrative, trauma-informed therapy and coaching that honours the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual parts of you. Together we map what’s happening, clarify your goals, and move at a pace that feels safe.

What our work may include:

– Nervous-system regulation and grounding skills

– Processing experiences and widening your window of tolerance

– Boundary-setting, self-compassion and values-based action

– Culturally responsive care that respects identity and context

– Practical tools you can use between sessions

Clients describe me as calm, empathic and straightforward. My focus is building a secure, trusting relationship so you feel at ease, understood, and equipped. The aim is tangible change: steadier mood, healthier relationships, and confidence to live in line with your values.

If this approach resonates, you’re welcome to book a consultation.

What is the difference between therapy and coaching?

Therapy focuses on addressing mental health issues, emotional struggles, and past trauma. It often deals with deeper psychological concerns and aims to help people heal and manage life more effectively. Coaching, on the other hand, is typically more future-focused and goal-oriented. It helps clients achieve specific personal or professional goals, improve performance, and develop new skills. Both approaches can be beneficial, but they serve different purposes.

How do I prepare for my first Therapy session?

For your first session, it’s helpful to come with an idea of what you’d like to work through. You might also want to jot down any questions or concerns you have. Being open and honest during the session will help build a strong foundation for our work ahead.

How do I prepare for my first Coaching session?

In the first session, you should expect to discuss your initial goals and expectations with your coach. You may also outline a rough agenda for what you’d like to cover. This helps set the stage for a productive coaching relationship and ensures both you and your coach are aligned on the process.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?

I ask that you give 7 days notice if cancelling or rescheduling a session. If given enough time, I may be able to offer another day / time instead.

Are sessions confidential?

Yes, sessions are confidential. Therapists and coaches adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines to protect your privacy. There are legal and ethical exceptions to confidentiality, such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, but these situations are rare.

Is there a chance we can talk before starting properly?

Yes, I offer a 15 minute telephone or video call to answer any questions or concerns you might have. There is no charge for this.

Where are sessions held?

I hold face to face sessions from my therapy space located in Wimbledon. Online sessions are via Microsoft Teams.

How do I get the most out of our sessions?

One thing that usually helps is getting a notebook for refections you have throughout the week or during our sessions. Apart from that, keep showing up, even when you don’t feel like you want to. Its hard, but it’s part of the process.
