Sometimes we focus so much on the destination, that we overlook the journey.
The possibility of renewal exists so long as life exists. How to support that possibility in others and in ourselves is the ultimate question.”

Testimonials
Jannelle is an exceptional coach! Very knowledgeable, thoughtful, compassionate and patient. I have a pleasure to work with her last year and thanks to her help and guidance, I’ve made massive improvements in areas of my life that I’ve been struggling for extended period of time. I highly recommend Jannelle’s one on one sessions as well as many of the workshops that she offers – they are truly life changing experiences!
— Coaching Client
Extremely satisfied, Jannelle helped me through so
many issues and helped me connect many dots in my
life. She has also provided me with solutions and tools
that I am sure I will use for many years to come. At no
point did I feel judged or that any of my feelings
weren’t valid and it was amazing having this safe space
for those months. Thank you Jannelle!!
— Therapy Client
I had an excellent experience when i attended a goal setting and vision board workshop. I felt very encouraged to think about my personal and professional growth and development. I enjoyed the activities inside and knowledge that I gained from participating in the workshop. I would definitely recommend the workshop to anyone looking to further their mental, emotional, social and professional growth.
— Workshop Attendee
Having had therapy with Jannelle I was able to develop the skills and insight to cope during tough seasons once our sessions had ended. I was definitely able to cope better thanks to all the help she provided me with beforehand! I’m still doing quite well with identifying my feelings, being honest when I do / don’t have an opinion on something and giving an actual response when people ask how I am, not just “I’m fine thanks”.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the purpose of counselling?
The purpose of counselling is to provide individuals with a safe and supportive environment where they can explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours and work to overcome personal challenges and improve their well-being.
How does counselling work?
Counselling works by creating a therapeutic relationship between the client and the counsellor. The counsellor listens, supports, and guides the client as they identify and work through their challenges, develop coping skills and strategies, and build resilience and positive habits.
Is counselling confidential?
Yes, counselling is confidential. This means that the counsellor is bound by professional ethics and legal obligations to maintain the privacy of their clients and to not disclose any information about their clients or their counselling sessions without their consent, although there are some limitations to this.
What should I look for in a counsellor?
Finding the right counsellor is subjective so it is always good to consider how you feel. Also, the counselling space should be free from judgment and not too ‘advice heavy’. If you find that your counsellor is always judging your choices and telling you what you should have done, this is a sign that they may not be right for you.
Who can benefit from counselling?
Counselling can be beneficial for individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and circumstances. People may seek counselling to address a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, stress, and other emotional or psychological challenges.
What should I expect from my first counselling session?
Your first counselling session is an opportunity for you to meet with your counsellor and discuss your concerns and goals. The counsellor will ask you questions about your background, history, and current challenges, and work with you to develop a plan that meets your needs.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of counselling sessions required can vary widely depending on the individual and their specific needs and goals. Some people may only want a few sessions, while others may require ongoing counselling for an extended period of time.
What if I don’t feel comfortable with my counsellor?
If you do not feel comfortable with your counsellor, it is important to speak up and find a different counsellor who is a better match for you. The therapeutic relationship is key to the success of counselling, and it is important to find a counsellor who you feel comfortable with and trust.
